The Twentieth Annual Controversies, Problems & Techniques Symposium is designed to help the practicing surgeon in evaluating standards of care and new techniques/interventions in gastrointestinal surgery. It is dedicated to identifying the relative strengths and weaknesses, advantages and drawbacks, of each approach.

The 20th Annual Symposium will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2003 through Saturday, December 13, 2003 at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. To be notified when new information is available, please send a request to amadhok@medispin.com.

Background: Although it has been suggested that elevation of CK-MB after percutaneous coronary intervention is associated with adverse clinical outcomes, limited data are available in the setting of coronary bypass grafting. The aim of the present study was to determine the incidence, predictors, and prognostic significance of CK-MB elevation following multivessel coronary bypass grafting (CABG).
